Die Arch\u00e4ologie gibt uns bis heute ein lebendiges Bild einer Stadt am Vorabend der Katastrophe, die Plinius der J\u00fcngere in seinen Briefen so eindr\u00fccklich schilderte.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s1\"><span style=\"background-color: #99cc00;\"><!--more--><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Die Arbeit im Seminar startete mit einer Reise nach Pompeji: Wir durchschritten das Ausgrabungsgel\u00e4nde vom Amphitheater bis zur Villa dei Misteri und setzten mit unseren Vortr\u00e4gen Schwerpunkte, die unsere Seminararbeits-Themen werden k\u00f6nnten.<\/p>\n<p>Der zweite Tag f\u00fchrte uns nach Neapel zu einer Stadtf\u00fchrung durch das Rione Sanit\u00e0 mit einem Fokus auf den Katakomben. Einige interessierten sich f\u00fcr Maradona, der in Neapel quasi als Stadtheiliger fungiert. Danach ging es in das arch\u00e4ologische Museum, um die Originale der Fundst\u00fccke aus Pompeji zu betrachten. Der dritte Tag f\u00fchrte uns auf den Vesuv. Mit einer Wanderung am Kraterrand vergegenw\u00e4rtigten wir uns, was im Jahr 79 n. Chr. hier passiert ist. In Herculaneum erkundeten wir v. a. die Bootsh\u00e4user mit den Skelettfunden, weitere H\u00e4user und gut erhaltene Fresken. Der letzte Tag f\u00fchrte uns in die Villa nach Oplontis, die der zweiten Frau Neros zugeschrieben wird.<\/p>\n<p>Mit vielf\u00e4ltigen Eindr\u00fccken und Forschungsideen f\u00fcrs Seminar kehrten wir zur\u00fcck nach Augsburg. Jetzt k\u00f6nnen wir nachempfinden, was Goethe in seiner italienischen Reise schrieb: \u201eEs ist viel Unheil in der Welt geschehen, aber wenig, das den Nachkommen so viel Freude gemacht h\u00e4tte\u201c.
